Director, Talent Development – Nashville

We are seeking a Director, Talent Development for our Nashville location. Reporting to the SVP, Human Resources, this position is responsible for the design, development, implementation and delivery of high-impact learning and talent development strategies, programs, and solutions, career development, succession planning processes, and performance management by partnering with the management team, the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team and the HR team:
- Partners with SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion are at the foundation of all learning and development programs, performance management and succession planning.
- Leads the process to assess and evaluate organizational needs for learning and development initiatives and programs to facilitate the professional development, career development and succession planning of team members, emerging leaders and executives.
- Directs talent management and succession planning process by partnering with business partners; provides coaching and facilitation.
- Creates and facilitates talent assessments and reviews; works with leaders in the organization to proactively identify organizational needs and long-term capability requirements, and talent and skills gaps; identifies resources and creates plans to address learning and development needs.
- Participates in People Planning meetings with business partners, DEI team members and HR team members to discuss talent development, succession planning and other pertinent matters.
- Owns the design, development, delivery, evaluation, and administration of various learning and development programs including diversity, equity and inclusion, compliance, soft skills, leadership skills development, technology, etc.; with programs conducted personally and/or through third party resources.
- Develops standard KPI’s, metrics, and reporting for evaluating the effectiveness of talent development programs and initiatives; communicates the impact of talent programs and initiatives.
- Identifies internal subject matter experts to serve as learning and development resources; coordinates delivery of workshops.
- Markets learning and development opportunities and resources; coordinates with Corporate Communications as appropriate.
- Develops and monitors learning and development budget spend; reports on monthly usage and variance.
- Manages and optimizes the learning management system (LMS.)
- Manages vendor relationships for learning and development partnerships, workshops, etc.
- Researches and stays current on learning and talent development best practices.
- Serves as project manager for company-wide talent programs and initiatives including performance management, coaching, mentoring, assessments, leadership development, career pathing, core competencies, etc.
- Directs the performance management processes to include system ownership and maintenance, implementation of changes and communication for change management.
- Advises management on consistent and effective practices for coaching performance to meet expectations.
- Assists with setting goals and objectives with department leaders as needed.
- Participates in and oversees process to ensure performance reviews are well-written and submitted timely.
- Provides analytical performance management reports, such as rating distribution, outstanding reviews, etc., as appropriate.
- Assists in creating team member developmental plans for increased performance and effectiveness as well as development plans for high-potential team members.

Position Qualification Requirements
This position requires 10 years’ related learning and development experience; minimum three years’ experience at the management level. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organization Psychology, or related field is required; Master’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
